Rental Conditions

Vehicles may be rented by persons over the age of 23 who hold a valid driving license for at least 2 years.

Prohibited Use of the Vehicle

The rented vehicle must not be used:

- under the influence of alcohol, tranquilizers, narcotics, sleeping pills, or other drugs;

- for unlawful purposes (such as criminal offenses, customs or foreign exchange violations);

- for paid transportation of passengers or goods;

- for any type of competition, speed testing, or racing;

- for towing or pushing other vehicles, trailers, or any objects;

- when the vehicle is not in proper running condition;

- for driver training purposes.

Obligations of the Renter

The service user is required:

- not to overload the rented vehicle with persons or objects exceeding the permitted weight;

- not to take the rented vehicle outside the borders of the Republic of Serbia without prior permission from ATOS rent a car;

- to bear the costs of consumed fuel;

- to request approval from ATOS rent a car for any extension of the agreed rental period at least 48 hours before the scheduled return time;

- to immediately stop driving if the mileage counter malfunctions and to inform ATOS rent a car as soon as possible;

- if, upon return of the vehicle, the mileage counter is found to be damaged, to pay ATOS rent a car the cost equivalent to 500 kilometers for each day of vehicle use;

- to properly maintain and take care of the vehicle during the rental period;

- to return the rented vehicle within the agreed time or earlier upon request by ATOS rent a car;

- to use the vehicle exclusively for personal needs and not to rent or lend it to a third party;

- to pay all fines and penalties imposed in connection with the use of the vehicle, caused by personal fault (traffic violations).

Procedure in Case of an Accident

In the event of an accident, the renter is obliged to protect the interests of ATOS rent a car and its insurance company by:

- recording the names and addresses of all participants and witnesses of the accident;

- not leaving the damaged vehicle until it has been removed from the accident site and properly secured;

- immediately informing ATOS rent a car of any damage, even if minor;

- in case of major vehicle damage or if there are injured persons (even when fault of other parties is evident), immediately calling and waiting for the traffic police to perform an official report;

- submitting a written accident report to ATOS rent a car.
